This series of work explores coral landscapes and is inspired by Greek Mythology, hence the name of this colour series: "Calypso".
This canvas represents my idea of a sampler of seashells & coral - all individual studies representing the ocean floor.
Textured and highly detailed hand embroidery sits delicately on blue linen fabric, I have used French knots, running stitch and a variety of textures to create this embroidery.
