This series of work explores the ocean & ocean life migration.
I have been very interested in Japanese Indigo and the dye techniques for some time and have recently made my own ink using indigo leaf powder. This new series of hand painted originals uses that ink and traditional techniques of application.
Every design within the 'Indigo Ink' series is unique.
Hand embroidery sits delicately on acid free, naturally white 300gsm paper , I have used silk yarn French knots, Turkey stitch & Bullions to create this textural art.
